This notice describes the current Tattoo Awards website, operated by Tattoo Growth L.L.C. It covers the current email sign-in, discovery and basic usage analytics features.

Information used to deliver the site

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Requests include technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page requested. Hosting infrastructure may process this information to deliver and secure the website.

Location and preferences

Location-based features may use approximate location supplied by Cloudflare from your IP address. They do not request your device’s precise GPS location. If you previously selected a city, that preference may remain in your browser’s local storage; you can remove it through your browser’s site-data settings.

Selections and accounts

Homepage selections do not change artist ratings. When analytics is enabled, we record that a preview selection occurred as a usage event, separately from ranking votes. Email signup stores your email address and account information in our managed PostgreSQL database and uses Resend to deliver sign-in links. Links expire after 15 minutes; secure login sessions last up to 30 days. Portfolio photographs and profile details are stored on our Cloudflare and managed database infrastructure. Photographs are processed into display sizes and sent to OpenAI for tattoo categorisation. Publication uses the consent and activation steps shown during setup.

Basic usage analytics

We automatically measure pageviews, anonymous browser-tab sessions, menu and signup clicks, discovery activity and preview selections. Analytics uses a random session identifier, refreshed after 30 minutes of inactivity, and records page paths, referring website domains and broad device categories. We do not include form contents, search text, email addresses, sign-in tokens or raw IP addresses in analytics events. Events are retained for 90 days.

No analytics permission popup is displayed. Previously saved opt-outs remain respected. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Signed-in site administrators and known automated visitors are excluded. Short-lived hashed IP counters help limit abusive event submissions. Analytics is hosted on our own Cloudflare and managed database infrastructure; no Google Analytics or advertising pixels are used.

Active time and registration reports

We estimate active browsing time while this site is visible and focused, stopping after 60 seconds without interaction. A random browser identifier lasts up to 90 days and helps connect browsing before registration to a newly verified account in the same browser. Signed-in usage is linked to your account so authorized administrators can review time spent and primary pages or activities. These records are retained for 90 days. We do not record keystrokes, form contents, screenshots or private URL parameters. Privacy signals and existing analytics opt-outs also disable this measurement.

Geographic and artist engagement reports

Usage reports include approximate country, region and city locations provided by Cloudflare from IP addresses. An administrator-only audience map uses rounded location coordinates and a private keyed fingerprint to count distinct IP addresses. Raw IP addresses are not stored in analytics. These location records are retained for 90 days. Shared networks can represent several visitors, and these locations are not exact homes or device GPS positions. When public artist pages and contact links are available, visits and clicks may be attributed to the artist being viewed. This does not identify the visitor. Raw usage events are retained for 90 days.
